About the role
A Neighborhood Construction Manager (NCM) manages the entire construction process from start to finish as the on-site leader responsible for all day-to-day operations at an assigned neighborhood. This includes quality control, scheduling trade partners and installations, maintaining site safety and efficiency, and ensuring timely completion of all scheduled tasks by trade and inspection partners.
Daily responsibilities involve communicating with homebuyers and homeowners, ordering building materials, reviewing and confirming home selections, and collaborating with sales, purchasing, and construction teams throughout the building process.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations at assigned neighborhood
- Manage quality control and scheduling of trade partners and installations
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work site
- Ensure timely completion of scheduled tasks by trade and inspection partners
- Communicate with homebuyers and homeowners
- Order building materials and review/confirm selections for each home
- Build relationships with sales, purchasing, and construction teams
- Use technical tools such as DXC Homebuilder One (HB1), Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint
Requirements
- Residential construction experience
- Proficient in reading blueprints and site plans
- Strong team collaboration skills
- Active listening, confidence, and respect in communication
- Customer service experience
- Ability to learn and use various job-related technologies
