Summary
The Needle Line Technician (night shift) participates in the loading of fiber and the unloading of finished rolls. Responsibilities include understanding and making adjustments to several types of industrial computers, maintaining paperwork accuracy, caring for and repairing needle boards, assisting co-workers, reporting quality issues, adhering to safety protocols, and performing other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Read batch sheets fully to meet specific batch requirements.
- Assist in machine setups and maintenance.
- Exercise initiative to perform tasks independently.
- Work shifts including day, night, weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- Use mathematical skills to work with fractions, positive and negative numbers.
- Report quality problems to Supervisor immediately.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean work environment by performing daily and weekly cleaning duties.
- Make adjustments to machinery to ensure material specifications are met.
- Repair and rotate needles in each used needle board.
- Clean and monitor boards for wear.
- Manage inventory of supplies and tools.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- GED/High School Diploma.
- Satisfactory completion of 3 months on-the-job training.
- Tow Motor Certification desired, not required.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.
- Full range of motion including eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Able to lift and move up to 60 lbs. continuously.
- Basic math skills.
- Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

Pay
The Pay Range for this role is $18.70 - $18.70 USD per hour (United Felts).
Schedule
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday but may include shift work, weekends, evenings, and holidays - flexibility is required as job duties demand.
