From the famed superyacht marina to the iconic spires of the rotating Pier-Top lounge, a new world of elevated experiences is set to unfold. The lush 32-acre waterfront enclave will feature 325 guest rooms, suites and villas, plus an exclusive collection of 91 Private Resort Residences, 12 restaurants and lounges, a luxurious spa, curated pool options, and a waterfront promenade with retail and dining. Every space is impeccably designed to inspire and relax, met with exceptional service and refined touches that result in truly extraordinary experiences.

The Resort will assemble over 600 diverse and talented Team Members to create a new legacy by providing memorable experiences and stellar service to guests and residents. About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nectar Room & Recreation General Manager to oversee the management and operation of our pool areas and Nectar Restaurant. This role is part of the Pier Sixty-Six Resort opening team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of pool areas and Nectar Room restaurant, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
  • Ensure the pool operation meets the brand’s target customer needs, employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing financial performance.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of departmental strategies and ensure the brand service strategy and initiatives are executed.
  • Ensure the food and beverage/culinary operation meets the brand’s target customer needs, employee satisfaction, and focuses on growing revenues and maximizing financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies that deliver products and services exceeding the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customers and property employees while providing a return on investment.
  • Lead the selection, talent management, and development of the Restaurant team.
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage leadership team in designing menus and wine lists.
  • Control costs through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control, and cost-control measures.
  • Observe and make recommendations for improvement of facilities and equipment where required.
  • Be highly visible in the operation, providing recognition, promoting good public relations, and handling special requests to deliver an attentive and distinctive guest experience.
  • Ensure you and your team consistently deliver the highest standards and exceptional service.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A wealth of Restaurant leadership experience in luxury hotels and/or stand-alone restaurants or restaurant groups.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in the same position within restaurants.
  • Previous pre-opening experience is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of food & beverage, strong wine knowledge, and creative, ambitious business acumen.
  • Strong work ethic and people-management skills.
  • Passion for team development, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with excellent organizational skills.
  • Highly creative flair, bringing a personal touch and energy to restaurant experiences.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and business acumen with an eye for detail and a passion for service.
  • Strong knowledge of pool operations, safety standards, and maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment, subject to local weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and a strong, innovative mindset.
  • Ability to react and adjust to changing business environments and lead the team in ensuring efficient financial management.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a team of professionals.
  • At least 3 to 5 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Knowledge of five-star service standards.
