Necropsy Student Assistant

About the role

The University of Georgia is seeking a Necropsy Student Assistant to provide basic assistance for the diagnostic necropsy service to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and clients of the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect necropsy suite. (40%)
• Aid in maintaining a clean and well-stocked necropsy suite. (40%)
• Assist, under direct supervision, with necropsies as needed. (20%)

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proof of protective rabies titer from the past 2 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• Lift 50 lbs.
• Position of trust.
• Requires security access.
