Nebraska-Sanitor - Night Shift

About the role

Golden Pet Manufacturing is at the forefront of changing the future of pet food by creating nutritionally-dense, thoughtfully-sourced, and practical solutions for pet parents. This position is located in Seward, NE, and operates on the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, complying with all safety, quality, and sanitation policies and procedures; proactively identify and report potential safety hazards for correction.
• Perform the 7 steps of sanitation consistently, effectively, and efficiently, including manual cleaning of plant processing equipment, tools, containers, and facilities; disassemble and assemble processing equipment.
• Perform sanitation duties as required by the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Remove product from equipment, tools, and containers using a water hose and industrial cleaners/sanitizers.
• Promote a high-quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
• Prioritize work daily by identifying pressing issues through communication with the direct team lead/supervisor and team members, knowing shift production plans, and maintaining area awareness.
• Understand microbiological and pest control programs as they pertain to sanitation in the food manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with all teams at the site on sanitation projects.
• Complete training materials on time as assigned.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older (preferred).
• Willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules (preferred).
• Ability to work with minimal supervision (preferred).
• Ability to plan work daily, work independently, and be a self-starter with high motivation (preferred).
• Ability to work with a team and effectively interact with other departments (preferred).
• 1 year of experience cleaning/sanitizing equipment in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, climb stairs, kneel, stoop, sit, and walk extensively throughout a 10–12-hour shift.
• Ability to work frequently indoors in a cooled sanitary environment with temperatures of 45 degrees or below.
• Ability to work around loud production equipment, chemical hazards, and abrasive chemicals.
• Awareness of slip, trip, and fall hazards due to water, chemicals, and product on floors.
