Duties/Responsibilities
- Partner with Operational leaders to oversee clinical relations with facilities.
- Ensure high quality care of nurse practitioners and physician assistants by providing clinical oversight and chart review.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and other regional psychiatrists to implement best practices to your region.
- Collaborate closely with local facility leadership (Directors of Nursing & Medical Directors) to ensure their residents receive the highest quality psychiatric care.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients.
- Provide medication management services by evaluating medication effectiveness and side effects, prescribing medication, and adjusting dosages as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to provide updates on patient progress and coordinate care.
- Attend training and continuing education programs to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.
Requirements
- Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Unrestricted licensure as a physician in the applicable state, including ability to prescribe controlled substances
- Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances
Qualifications
- Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures
- Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients
- Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action
- Ability to prepare records and reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
- Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality

Starting at $300,000 and up annual base salary
Schedule
Full Time providers may be bonus eligible
