Duties/Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operational leaders to oversee clinical relations with facilities.
  • Ensure high quality care of nurse practitioners and physician assistants by providing clinical oversight and chart review.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer and other regional psychiatrists to implement best practices to your region.
  • Collaborate closely with local facility leadership (Directors of Nursing & Medical Directors) to ensure their residents receive the highest quality psychiatric care.
  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments to determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients.
  • Provide medication management services by evaluating medication effectiveness and side effects, prescribing medication, and adjusting dosages as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including therapists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to provide updates on patient progress and coordinate care.
  • Attend training and continuing education programs to stay current on best practices and new research in psychiatry.

Requirements

  • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
  • Unrestricted licensure as a physician in the applicable state, including ability to prescribe controlled substances
  • Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.
  • Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Ability to prepare records and reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.

Pay

Starting at $300,000 and up annual base salary

Schedule

Full Time providers may be bonus eligible
