Near 20002 family seeking a reliable babysitter for their children.
Part-time sitter/nanny needed (12–15 hours/week) for an 8-year-old boy. Family lives in NE Capitol Hill, Washington, DC 20002.
Pay: $20+/hour, depending on experience. Start date: ASAP.
About the role
The main responsibility is picking up the child from school at Mundo Verde Cook Campus in Shaw. Once home, the sitter spends engaged time with him — starting homework/reading, playing sports, visiting local parks, meeting up with other kids — until a parent gets home around 5:30/6pm.
Pickup options are flexible: car, public transit, or riding him on the family's electric cargo bike all work.
Schedule
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: school ends at 3:30pm
- Wednesday: school ends at 1:00pm
- Coverage generally needed until 5:30–6:00pm
Additional hours are available but not required: occasional evening commitments and some weekend coverage, depending on the week's needs.
