About the role

At Jered, a PAR Systems Company, we design and build large-scale ship systems for the U.S. Navy and other customers operating in high-consequence environments where performance and reliability are critical. As an NDT Level II Technician, you will ensure the integrity of welds and assemblies through non-destructive testing and accurate inspection records.

Responsibilities

  • Perform VT, PT, and MT inspections in accordance with drawings and specifications while verifying dimensional compliance using standard tools.
  • Verify inspection records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready, supporting full traceability and product acceptance.
  • Audit welding procedures, confirm qualifications, and ensure equipment calibration while collaborating with manufacturing to resolve issues without compromising quality.
  • Contribute to ISO 9001 efforts, maintain NDT equipment, and support safe, compliant operations.
  • Expand into additional inspection disciplines and advance your NDT certifications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years' inspection experience in a welding/fabrication environment
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering fabrication and assembly drawings
  • NDT Level II certifications in the VT, MT & PT methods
  • Proficient with Hand measuring/layout tools (Tape Measure, combination square, level)
  • Proficient with basic math (addition/subtraction of fractions)

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency with NDT methods (VT, MT, PT)

Qualifications

  • Navy (Tech Pub/278 and/or MIL-STD-1689) inspection experience preferred
  • Advanced measurement/layout tools proficiency (transit/optic level, micrometers, CMM) preferred
