NDT Technician 3rd shift
About the role
The NDT Inspector position at Chromalloy is responsible for performing non-destructive evaluations of gas turbine engine components using various NDT processes. This includes tasks such as Laser inspection II, Ultrasonic inspection II, X-Ray inspection II, up to MPI/FPI level II processing and inspection. The role also involves performing tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, C of C generation, incoming inspection, repair work scope generation, and regulatory paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks such as Laser inspection II, Ultrasonic inspection II, X-Ray inspection II, up to MPI/FPI level II processing and inspection.
- May perform tasks such as dimensional inspection, visual inspection, C of C generation, incoming inspection, repair work scope generation and regulatory paperwork in accordance with work instructions, blueprints, and customer specifications.
- Performs all work in accordance with plant safety rules and maintains highest quality standards in the execution of all assigned work.
- Operator prepares necessary quality documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Operator adheres to all 5s / CPEX policies and has a continuous improvement mindset.
Requirements
- Must have HS Diploma or GED.
- Strong shop mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions required.
- On the job experience of 3-5 years as inspector in manufacturing environment.
- On the job experience of 5+ years in manufacturing environment preferred.
- MPI/FPI level II cert preferred
- X-Ray level II cert preferred
- Must be able to follow instructions, read and interpret blue prints.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
Qualifications

Salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
Schedule
This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
