About the Role

Trained and Qualified in Nondestructive Testing Level II (Visual, Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection) with 3+ years’ direct experience in U.S. Navy shipboard/Submarine NDT Inspections. Electrical Cableway and Connector knowledge, welding, and Welder Qualification are pluses. Some travel may be required depending on task; 25% or more travel may be expected.

Responsibilities

  • Develops QA Workbooks with Test and Inspection Plans.
  • Performs a variety of quality control tests/inspections on products, materials, components, parts, etc. at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards.
  • Records and analyzes data and writes summaries and reports to validate or show deviations from existing standards.
  • Works closely with management to ensure adherence to ISO standards and NAVSEA Standard Items.
  • Recommends modifications to existing, or suggests new, standards, methods, and procedures.
  • Maintains appropriate documentation related to quality assurance tests and inspections.
  • Provides quality training.
  • May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff members.
  • Guides and directs employees in quality improvement efforts.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in U.S. Navy shipboard/Submarine NDT Inspections.
  • Nondestructive Testing Level II certification for Visual Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, and Magnetic Particle Testing.
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • US citizenship.

Pay

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $32.30 - $43.70. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
