Basic Qualifications

  • Certified NDE Level III I.A.W. NAS-410 or ASNT in a minimum of 3 methods with at least one certification in UT, ET, or RT
  • Minimum 5 years professional NDT experience
  • Experience using automated and/or robotic inspection systems
  • Experience with computer aided design software
  • Experience training NDT inspectors
  • Experience working with and approving Aerospace suppliers for NDT processes
  • Familiarity with Computed radiography (CR) and/or Digital Radiography (DR)

Job Description

Join Lockheed Martin’s NDT Engineering team, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Fifth Generation Fighters, including the F-35 and F-22, as well as the F-16 and advanced development programs. In this dynamic position, you will leverage your NDT expertise to develop and implement innovative techniques that span the entire life cycle of aircraft—from design and production through to field sustainment and retirement. Our team is responsible for all Nondestructive Testing, ensuring the structural integrity and airworthiness of our aircraft. We utilize advanced inspection technologies, including Laser Ultrasonics, which is unique to Lockheed Martin and utilized by only a handful of companies worldwide.

Desired Skills

  • Degree in a Physical Science or equivalent experience, along with current NDE Level III certifications ASNT Level III certification in four disciplines
  • Level II certification in other methods
  • Background in working with NDT processes in MRO&U facilities
  • Experience managing record retention & data archival for production NDT records
  • Experience in a unionized environment
  • Prior experience in procuring NDI capital equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
