NDT Instructor - Travel

Responsibilities

• Instructing multiple NDT related classroom courses
• Provide quality oversight of supplier embedded instructors to support site training needs
• Directing and assessing hands on training with practice and tests
• Enforcing safety rules and regulations in training and during deck plate audits
• Assessing student performance & identifying non-conformance to policies, procedures and technical documents
• Supporting various course content reviews and related activities
• Conducting assessments as needed/scheduled
• Manage class rosters and training OQE submittal paperwork
• Meet with Focus Factory Leadership regarding student performance as needed
• Consistently grade tests and quizzes to ensure knowledge capture and understanding of training topics
• Communicate with other team members to advance work & communicate issues
• Support the Training department goals and objectives with other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 4 years of NDT trade experience
• MDD-01464 or MDD-00948 or MDD-00301 Minimum of 2 years of work experience at Electric Boat
• Instructing/teaching experience (formal or informal)
• Leadership experience (working leader, MDU, SS …ETC)

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced educational course work including certifications, Associates or other advanced education degree
• Currently qualified in NDT process MDD-01464 or MDD-00948 or MDD-00301
• Experience with various business systems, i. e. SRT/LMS, PQS, ATA
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and OneNote
• Experience with virtual and/or remote technologies
