NDT HA (C)
About the role
The Non-Destructive Testing Lab (NDT) supports the shipyard by providing all necessary NDT services as per specifications, drawings, standard procedures, and regulatory agencies. Services include Radiography (R/T), Ultrasonic Testing (U/T), Magnetic Particle Testing (M/T), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT), Chemical Spot Testing, Metal Monitor Testing, Hardness Testing, Cathodic Protection Surveys, Metallurgical Sample Preparation and Analysis, Eddy Current Testing, and review and final approval of all subcontractor-provided radiographs and NDT procedures.
Responsibilities
- Must be proficient as a Level II in at least two major methods (MT, PT, RT, or UT)
- Achieve ASNT IRRSP or equivalent radiation safety certificate within five years
- Perform NDT in accordance with applicable procedures
- Set up and calibrate equipment as needed
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience in NDT or at least two years of engineering or science study, or a Level II certification by examination.
