About the Role
The Apprentice supports various field activities at client locations, assisting Technicians, Senior Technicians, and Operations teams with service responsibilities, site assignments, and field service tasks.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to company, customer, and legal safety standards, and alerting others to potential hazards.
- Performs assigned duties while adhering to TEAM’s Core Values.
- Assists Technicians, Senior Technicians, and Operations in service tasks onsite at client locations.
- Provides service and customer support during site assignments.
- Supports installation, repair, maintenance, and evaluation tasks onsite.
- Assists in diagnosing errors or problems and observes field personnel to determine solutions.
- Documents all field service activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Relevant industry experience preferred.
- Travel requirement: 0%–25%.
Work Conditions
- Position is based out of a branch or site location.
- Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in plant environments.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Works in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
- Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
- May work at multiple job sites in a day and must tolerate climate changes.
- May require periodic out-of-town travel.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
- Must be able to walk and climb, except when performing non-field duties.
- Sufficient speech, hearing, or other communication capabilities (with or without reasonable accommodation) to communicate effectively.
- Sufficient vision or observation skills (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform investigations.
- Sufficient manual dexterity (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform routine office duties.
- Sufficient personal mobility and reflexes (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations.
- Ability to maneuver within refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
- Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively.
- Excellent communication skills.
