About the Role
The NDE Assistant will support NDT Level II and III technicians on the North Slope of Alaska. The position involves a rotational work schedule of either 21 days on followed by 21 days off, or 14 days on followed by 14 days off, with daily 12-hour shifts.
Requirements
- Completion of a 40-hour radiation safety course (required).
- NDT training and on-the-job training (OJT) for methods such as UT, RT, PT, MT, and VT per ASNT SNT-TC-1A (preferred but not required).
- Current IRRSP or state radiation safety card (preferred but not required).
- Current Level I or higher Rope Access certification (IRATA) or willingness to obtain it.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Essential Physical Functions
- Ability to routinely lift up to 75 lbs.
- Tolerance for working in extreme climates, including subzero temperatures, for extended periods.
- Comfort working in cramped or confined spaces.
Schedule
Rotational hitch schedule: 21 days on / 21 days off or 14 days on / 14 days off. Daily shifts are 12 hours long.
