NDE Assistant

About the role

HMT is the global leader in aboveground storage tank solutions, offering innovative and service‑focused tank operations. The company partners with customers to optimize tank performance, efficiency, productivity, and profitability. HMT is seeking a skilled NDE Assistant for call‑out work to assist in performing Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT) inspections in accordance with industry codes and customer requirements, while maintaining safety standards and fostering positive client and team relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing the following NDT methods: Radiographic Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle (MT) Testing, and Penetrant (PT) Testing.
• Collect and process data generated by inspections, following HMT and customer procedures and requirements.
• Drive a vehicle safely in oil and gas facilities and field sites.
• Use standard computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Maintain a positive relationship between client, facility, and customer, and promote a positive attitude toward coworkers.
• Ensure all HMT safety policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass HMT certification standards.
• Proficiency with standard computer software (Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Ability to assist in performing RT, MT, and PT inspections.

Requirements

• Clean driving record.
• Pass DISA background check and drug/alcohol screening.
• Current driver’s license from state of residence.
• Valid TWIC card.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 75 lb.
• Willingness to travel up to 20 % or more.
• Ability to drive safely in oil and gas facilities and field sites.
