Responsibilities

• Teach NCLEX-RN content areas, including management of care, safety and infection control, health promotion, psychosocial integrity, pharmacological and parenteral therapies, reduction of risk potential, and physiological adaptation.
• Explain the clinical judgment measurement model, computerized adaptive testing, and Next Generation item types to prepare students for licensure.
• Guide students through the clinical judgment model, including recognizing cues, analyzing cues, prioritizing hypotheses, and evaluating outcomes.
• Teach delegation, supervision, medication safety, diagnostic result interpretation, and patient care prioritization using evidence-based frameworks.
• Develop systematic approaches to case studies and select-all-that-apply questions.
• Adapt instruction using UWorld, Kaplan, or ATI practice question banks and content review materials.
• Identify and address common student struggles using multiple teaching approaches tailored to individual learning styles.
• Conduct 1-on-1 online tutoring and accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of NCLEX-RN content areas and test plan.
• Familiarity with common challenges such as pharmacology dosage calculations, prioritization, delegation, and Next Generation NCLEX case study formats.
• Ability to teach using practice question banks (e.g., UWorld, Kaplan, ATI) and test-taking strategy workshops.
• Strong communication skills and an engaging, adaptable teaching style.
• Experience supporting BSN and ADN graduates preparing for registered nurse licensure.
