NCIS Technical Specialist (Quantico, VA)
Join Life Cycle Engineering in support of the NCIS IT support services mission headquartered in Quantico, Virginia. The Information Technology Directorate (ITD) supports the NCIS core mission areas to investigate and defeat criminal, terrorist, and foreign intelligence threats by planning for and providing services through appropriate use of the people, equipment, technology, and infrastructure resources of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. This position is expected to start in Q3 of 2026.
About the Role
As the Technical Specialist, you will act as the conduit between the customer community and the software development team through which requirements flow. The Technical Specialist has the primary responsibility to elicit, analyze, validate, specify, verify, and manage the real needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users.
Clearance Requirements
Fully adjudicated Top-Secret clearance (SCI eligibility).
Responsibilities
- Acts as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Gathers, analyzes, and documents project requirements.
- Develops use cases and process models to ensure technical solutions meet business objectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years supporting IT organizations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications.
Physical Demands
- Travel will be required to support this task (up to 25% travel).
- Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting (up to 30 pounds), and standing; occasional prolonged sitting.
- Ability to speak, read, hear and write, with or without assistance.
- Ability to use phone and computer systems, copier, fax and other office equipment.
