About the role
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program at Tonopah High School. The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Nevada teaching license.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality mathematics instruction aligned with state standards.
- Assess student learning and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a positive learning environment.
- Supervise students during extracurricular activities and field trips as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Nevada Driver's License.
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (for certain teaching assignments).
- Background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol testing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or related field.
- Experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Effective classroom management skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Knowledge of current educational technology and resources.

Schedule
The teacher will work 150 days per year, with 8.5 hours per day.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $51,323-$103,407, commensurate with experience.
