About the role
Beatty Middle/High School seeks a dedicated and experienced 6-12 Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is funded by the General Fund and offers a salary range of $51,323-$103,407.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program in an environment that prepares students for lives as informed and engaged citizens in a global society.
- Develop and maintain effective classroom management strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and instruction.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to improve academic performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Nevada Teaching License*
- Valid Nevada Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification for physical education, special education, and career & technical education teaching assignments
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to teaching and learning
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students
- Pass a thorough background check and mandatory pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
