About the role
Nashua Community College is seeking adjunct instructors for the upcoming semester in the Biological and Health Sciences Department. Specific needs include instructors for Microbiology and Medical Microbiology, both requiring on-campus instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach designated courses as outlined in the course schedule.
- Maintain high standards of academic excellence and student engagement.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committee work as needed.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the specific subject or closely related field.
- Three years of relevant teaching, business, or industry experience.
- Strong academic background and ability to teach effectively.
Qualifications
- Candidates must be eligible for employment within the New England states (Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island).
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to various teaching methods.
- Familiarity with current pedagogical techniques.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $825-$975 per contact hour, with the rate determined by the adjunct faculty rank based on education and experience.
Schedule
Adjunct appointments are for a specified contract period and may require evening or online instruction.
