About the role

Nashua Community College is seeking adjunct instructors for the upcoming semester in the Biological and Health Sciences Department. Specific needs include instructors for General Biology I and II (on-campus daytime instruction only), Biology In Focus (hybrid instruction), and Ecology (on-campus daytime instruction only).

Responsibilities

  • Teach specified courses in accordance with the college’s curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver effective lectures and engage students in active learning.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback through various assessment methods.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required by the college.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in the specific subject or closely related field.
  • Three years of relevant work experience in teaching, business, or industry.

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background.
  • Ability to teach in both on-campus and hybrid formats.

Skills

  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with online teaching platforms.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $825-$975 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.

Schedule

Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in-classroom or online instruction.
