About the role
Nashua Community College is seeking adjunct instructors for the upcoming semester in the Biological and Health Sciences Department. Specific needs include instructors for General Biology I and II (on-campus daytime instruction only), Biology In Focus (hybrid instruction), and Ecology (on-campus daytime instruction only).
Responsibilities
- Teach specified courses in accordance with the college’s curriculum.
- Develop and deliver effective lectures and engage students in active learning.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback through various assessment methods.
- Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required by the college.
Requirements
- Master's degree in the specific subject or closely related field.
- Three years of relevant work experience in teaching, business, or industry.
Qualifications
- Strong academic background.
- Ability to teach in both on-campus and hybrid formats.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Experience with online teaching platforms.
Pay
The salary range for this position is $825-$975 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
Schedule
Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in-classroom or online instruction.
