About the role
Nashua Community College seeks adjunct instructors for its Chemistry Program. Positions are temporary, for a specified contract period, and may involve in-classroom or online instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach chemistry courses at the college level
- Develop and implement lesson plans
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
- Maintain current knowledge of chemistry research and pedagogy
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Chemistry or closely related field
- Three years’ experience in teaching, business, or industry in related field
Qualifications
- Strong academic background in Chemistry
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple courses
- Effective communication skills
Skills
- Excellent teaching abilities
- Ability to adapt to various teaching methods
- Knowledge of current chemistry research and trends
Pay
The salary range for this position is $825-$975 per contact hour. The rate will be determined by the appointed adjunct faculty rank, which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
Schedule
Adjunct appointments are temporary and for a specified contract period. The schedule will vary based on course availability and student enrollment.
