NCC Adjunct Faculty- Mechanical Engineering and Design

About the role

Nashua Community College is seeking adjunct instructors for various courses in the Mechanical Engineering and Design program.

Responsibilities

• Instruct CADN111-CAD1-Fall 2026: Study of graphical communication, 3D Solid Modeling, blueprint reading, measurement, geometric construction, orthographic projection, section views, dimensioning, threads and fasteners, using SolidWorks on personal computers, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm-8:20pm.
• Instruct CADN112N-CAD II-Spring 2027: Advanced 3D Solid Modeling, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, manufacturing methods, spring, and cam design, Tuesday/Thursday 6pm-9:20pm.
• Instruct CADN131-Technical Drawing-Spring 2027: Basics of drafting fundamentals, blueprint reading, measurement, geometric construction, orthographic projection, section views, auxiliary views, dimensioning and tolerancing, threads and fasteners, using SolidWorks on personal computers, Tuesdays from 6pm-9:30pm.
• Instruct ELMT204N-Fluid Power Design-Spring 2027: Dynamics of liquids and gases, Thursdays from 6pm-8:30pm.
• Instruct MDTN110N-Automation Programming-Spring 2027: Basic concept of programming a robot, Mondays from 5:30pm-9:45pm.
• Instruct MDTN285N-Mechanical Engineering Capstone-Spring 2027: Engineering design project, teams under the direction of a faculty advisor, Wednesdays from 6pm-9:30pm.

Requirements

• Minimum qualifications: Associates degree or Bachelors degree in a related field and/or fifteen years experience in mechanical engineering/design.
• Salary range: $825-$975 per contact hour, based on education and industry/teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in mechanical engineering/design.

Skills

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other CAD software.
