Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering analysis and design or re-design of components into existing and new vehicles.
  • Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
  • Work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
  • Collaborate with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues.
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Prepare technical proposals, quotations, reports, and presentations.
  • Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal or written communication.
  • Utilize analytical and mathematical approaches to calculate or model system performance and optimize designs.
  • Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering and communicate status via verbal or written communication.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Standout Qualifications: Experience with a high level CAD system.

  • Communication Skills: Read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals; write routine reports, correspondence and speak effectively before both internal and external groups; read, analyze and interpret business manuals, technical procedures and/or government regulations; read, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
  • Complexity, Judgment and Problem Solving: Structured work, involving a choice of action within limits of standard policy and procedures.
  • Supervisory/Managerial: General instructing, scheduling, and reviewing the work of others performing the same or directly related work. Acts as "lead worker."

Pay

$64,500.00 - $103,500.00
