Responsibilities
- Support to the Deputy Assistant Secretary of War for Strategic, Space, and Intelligence Portfolio Management (DAS W (SSIPM)) Nuclear Command, Control, and Communication (NC3) directorate.
- Provide technical leadership evaluating and integrating indications and warning and situation monitoring for programs for NC3.
- Support technical efforts and liaison with program sponsors and Do W NC3 program leadership.
- Affirm timely execution of tasks and the quality of technical products through the application of best engineering practices.
- Apply understanding of the capabilities and limitations of current NC3 Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment capabilities.
- Ensure NC3 indications and warning and situation monitoring capabilities are structured to include both traditional and emerging threats.
- Assist in monitoring all DoD Nuclear Threat Monitoring research and engineering investments.
- Prepare senior leaders for engagements across the department in the form of briefing books, read-ahead memos, and daily interaction's with key stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and concisely to distill a wide variety of information for senior leaders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience on tasks associated with Indications and Warning, NC3 Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment, Ballistic Missile Defense, Do W Space or Ground Based Sensor Systems
- 5+ years experience with Do W acquisition process (PPBE, DoDI 5000.02)
- Experience conducting technical and programmatic analysis of Do W Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems and programs
- Knowledge of NC3 mission, concept of operations, roles and relationships across Do W
- Ability to synthesize information into papers, briefings, and presentations for senior Do W leaders
- Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and writing skills
- Able to work fully onsite based on client needs
Pay
Virginia, Pay Transparency Salary range: USD $160,000.00/Yr. - USD $200,000.00/Yr.
