About the role

Join WNCSource as an NC Pre-K Teacher and be a key player in preparing children ages 4–5 for success in school and life.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement meaningful learning experiences aligned with NC Pre-K and Head Start frameworks.
• Promote growth in physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and language development.
• Use ongoing assessments to inform instruction and track progress toward School Readiness Goals.
• Foster positive, supportive relationships with children and families.
• Conduct home visits and parent-teacher conferences to build two-way communication.
• Ensure safe, healthy environments in both classroom and outdoor settings.
• Support successful transitions into and out of the NC Pre-K program.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or a related field.
• Preferred Bachelor's degree (as above) and one of the following:
• Current NC Birth through Kindergarten (B-K) Continuing License,
• Working toward a B-K or Preschool Add-on License.
