About the role

We are seeking passionate educators like YOU to assist the NC Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities, adhering to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education, and aligning with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the NC Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities
  • Adhere to standards set by the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education
  • Align with the objectives of the current NC Pre-K Curriculum
  • Create a nurturing and positive atmosphere for children and their families
  • Aid in the planning and implementation of learning experiences that promote various developmental domains
  • Observe and assess the children's development
  • Aid in the customization of the curriculum to meet the unique needs of each child
  • Contribute to guiding young learners towards achieving their School Readiness Goals

Qualifications

  • Passionate about early childhood education
  • Ability to work effectively with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate learning experiences
  • Knowledge of developmental milestones and appropriate interventions
  • Ability to observe and assess children's progress
  • Ability to collaborate with other teachers and staff members
