About the role
Our 2nd shift Operators start at a minimum of $22 per hour (DOE) + $1.50 Shift Differential plus $1.00 raises each 6 months with a Quarterly Performance Bonus of up to $750. Must be flexible enough to train on 1st shift 4-6 weeks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Reads and interprets blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and specifications for parts.
- Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances, fitting and alignment of machined parts.
- Obtains required inspections on first pieces of a run according to prescribed procedure and performs inspections on work-in-progress using a wide variety of measuring devices.
- Selects the appropriate cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials to be used on machines.
- Examines and measures completed units and parts to identify any defects and to ensure units conform with predetermined specifications; adjusts machine controls to resolve production errors.
- Utilizes Geometric Dimension & Tolerance as called out on print.
- Operates fabrication machinery to produce parts used in manufacturing processes. Mostly on Mazak and HAAS equipment.
- Ensures proper machine set up and accurate interpretation of prints and specifications to prevent damage to material. Detects errors with frequent tolerance/quality checks.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years manufacturing experience.
- Proficiency in shop math and blueprint reading is necessary to perform the job.
- Computer skills including Windows based softwares such as MSOffice.
Skills
