NC Operator 1

About the role

The NC Operator 1 position at Hexcel's Pottsville, PA, USA site involves operating NC machines, supporting NC operations, loading/unloading parts and tools, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate all NC machines
• Support all NC’s by performing final inspection of parts
• Loading/unloading parts and tools and part preparation
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Maintain an accurate E-log, 5-S, and housekeeping to customer requirement
• Operate different machines on their shift
• Support team efforts and product process by performing any operation or tasks deemed necessary by customer requirements, team consensus, and/or supervisor/manager
• Work in a team environment to reach consensus decisions within the guidelines and boundaries established by the company, and maintain constructive relationships with co-workers

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• Minimum of six months experience required, preferably in manufacturing
• Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function preferred
• Must be able to maintain a quality delegate stamp or attain and retain a quality delegate stamp
• Must follow all safety guidelines
• Must be a capable forklift operator
• Familiar with PC computer systems
• Possess good organizational and administrative skills
• Able to develop audit reports and write non-conforming records as required
