Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Navigator RN, you will provide expert nursing guidance and support to patients as they navigate complex healthcare journeys. You will work with Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, in the Cardio Thoracic Surgery Associates Clinic in Tacoma, WA. The role supports Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons and impacts patient care directly. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, educating patients and families, coordinating care, and facilitating access to resources.
- Assesses patient needs and develops nursing interventions.
- Provides education to patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Collaborates with other providers to address medical, social, and financial needs.
- Tracks and reports clinical/treatment protocols.
- Supports clinical research activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience, with three years of related professional nursing work experience.
- Registered Nurse license in WA.
- Basic Life Support - CPR certification.
Preferred
- Masters of Science Nursing or related field.
- Previous Navigator work experience.
