Navigator Family Advocate

About the role

The Navigator Family Advocate is responsible for providing support and guidance to families in navigating the complex systems and services available to them.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional and practical support to families in crisis
• Assist families in accessing necessary resources such as housing, healthcare, and social services
• Collaborate with other community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for families
• Conduct outreach to identify families in need of support
• Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience working with families in crisis
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation

Qualifications

• Experience with trauma-informed care
• Knowledge of local community resources
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
