About the role
The Navigator Family Advocate is responsible for providing support and guidance to families in navigating the complex systems and services available to them.
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support to families in crisis
- Assist families in accessing necessary resources such as housing, healthcare, and social services
- Collaborate with other community agencies to ensure comprehensive support for families
- Conduct outreach to identify families in need of support
- Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and progress
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience working with families in crisis
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Experience with trauma-informed care
- Knowledge of local community resources
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
