Navigation Algorithm Software Engineer (Secret) - MA

About the role

The work will focus on developing, analyzing and testing navigation algorithms and software for a variety of applications. Development will include all stages of the development life cycle (prototype to flight ready software).

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze and test navigation algorithms and software for a variety of applications
• Performance analysis, including covariance analysis, Monte Carlo analysis, and post-flight test data analysis
• Test driven development, integration and test support, and defect resolution

Qualifications

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• Deep knowledge of the principles of navigation and related algorithms, including strapdown navigation systems, Kalman Filtering, navigation aiding, etc.
• Strong algorithm and software development skills comfortable in languages such as C/C++, Python, MATLAB/Simulink
• Familiar with test driven development and Agile development practices
• Background in navigation performance analysis methodologies such as covariance analysis and Monte Carlo analysis
• Experience with navigation related sensors (IMUs, GNSS, vision, etc.)
• Security clearance is required: Secret or above
