About the role

As a senior Strategic Advisor for Naval Operational Planning, you'll bring your extensive experience in military and government settings, including contract support to military commands, to work alongside thought leaders in consulting and analytics on projects for our Navy client.

Responsibilities

  • Use your skills and expertise to assist in the development, drafting, wargaming, and management of contingency plans.
  • Work with clients to identify force and capability gaps, analyze operational response options, develop mission command orders, and ensure plans align with and support higher headquarters direction.
  • Conduct operational analysis to identify gaps in force capabilities or develop vulnerability and gap assessments.
  • Apply knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Process, Operational Design, and Joint Exercise Life Cycle process.
  • Travel up to 25% of the time as needed.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with the military or government, including contract support to military commands.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Joint or Navy operations in support of Echelon III or higher headquarters staff.
  • 10+ years of experience with Navy or Joint Operational Planning.
  • 10+ years of experience conducting operational analysis to identify gaps in force capabilities or developing vulnerability and gap assessments.
  • Knowledge of the Joint Planning and Execution Process, Operational Design, and Joint Exercise Life Cycle process.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master's degree.

Qualifications

  • Nice if you have: Experience with operational planning on a Combatant Command staff; Experience managing an Operational Plans Element or Maritime Operations Center; Experience leading Operational Planning Teams; Experience leading Crisis Action Planning teams; Completion of JPME II or Joint Specialty Officer Designated.

Pay

The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

Employees working remotely may be required to have their cameras on during meetings to support effective communication.
