Key Responsibilities
- Manage natural resources projects from proposal through completion.
- Prepare scopes of work, fee proposals, schedules, technical reports, and permit applications.
- Manage project budgets, invoicing, and project performance.
- Serve as a primary client contact and support agency coordination efforts.
- Mentor junior staff and support technical team development.
- Direct project set up and implementation with junior staff.
- Ensure that appropriately trained and experienced staff are assigned.
- Communicate with junior staff to direct field work.
- Perform site visits as required on the project.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Natural Resources, Biology, Marine biology, or other degree relevant to the practice of Environmental Consulting.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience for Senior Project Manager with experience managing complex environmental permitting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), Professional Arborist, Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license preferred.
- AASUS Certified Scientific Diver following guidelines in EM 385-1-1.
Preferred Skills And Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods.
- Extensive ability to manage and develop new clients.
- Seek out opportunities to develop relationships with clients.
- Review and provide feedback of field and laboratory testing by others.
- Perform training and/or corrective action as necessary.
- Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients.
- Experience delegating/assigning projects and tasks to other staff while also managing other projects independently.
- USFWS and NOAA coordination.
- USACE permitting experience including 404 permitting.
- FDEP permitting including CCCL permitting.
- Water Management District Permitting experience.
- FWC coordination.
- Existing Central Florida agency and client relationships.
- Assessment of benthic and aquatic vegetation.
- Protected species monitoring.
- Military Qualifications:
- E-7 ECS Group of Companies (ECS).
