Natural Resources Project Scientist
About the role
V3 Companies seeks a Natural Resources Project Scientist in Indiana, Ohio, or Southwest Michigan, with a preference for the central Ohio region. The ideal candidate will contribute to career-defining projects that restore environments and make lasting impacts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and manage project fieldwork within Power and Energy, private development markets, and watershed planning.
- Complete project reports within assigned timelines and provide technical direction.
- Maintain project status and budgets and keep project files updated.
- Perform and coordinate fieldwork with the Natural Resources Team, including wetland delineations and habitat evaluations.
- Prepare, submit, and obtain Section 404/401 and isolated wetland permit approvals.
- Work on natural resource design/build projects.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and responsible decision-making.
- Represent V3 at professional industry events.
- Offer feedback to supervisory staff on performance of existing processes and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with wetland delineations, habitat evaluations, and regulatory agency coordination.
- Strong communication and project coordination experience.
- Preferrably technical proficiency in ArcGIS and Microsoft Suite.
- Valid state driver’s license.
