About the role

V3 Companies seeks a Natural Resources Project Scientist in Indiana, Ohio, or Southwest Michigan, with a preference for the central Ohio region. This position involves contributing to significant projects that restore environments and make lasting impacts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct and manage project fieldwork in Power and Energy, private development markets, and watershed planning.
  • Complete project reports within assigned timelines and provide technical direction.
  • Maintain project status and budgets, and update project files.
  • Perform and coordinate fieldwork with the Natural Resources Team, including wetland delineations and habitat evaluations.
  • Prepare, submit, and obtain Section 404/401 and isolated wetland permit approvals.
  • Work on natural resource design/build projects.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and responsible decision-making.
  • Represent V3 at professional industry events.
  • Offer feedback to supervisory staff on performance of existing processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with wetland delineations, habitat evaluations, and regulatory agency coordination.
  • Strong communication and project coordination experience.
  • Prefers technical proficiency in Arc GIS and Microsoft Suite.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
