JOB DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains environmental policies, processes, and compliance documentation; interprets federal, state, and local regulations to ensure adherence
- Affirms environmental risks, recommends mitigation strategies, and executes approved actions, including preparation of required regulatory documentation
- Led or supports environmental project planning activities such as scheduling, cost estimation, impact assessments, and reporting
- Prepares and submits complex environmental permit applications, renewals, approvals, and variances, and maintains accurate permitting schedules aligned with project milestones
- Monitors regulatory changes (e.g., FERC, NEPA, Clean Water Act, ESA, NHPA) and evaluates impacts on project timelines, costs, and compliance obligations
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of Natural Resources environmental experience
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Strong knowledge of federal and state environmental permitting processes, including FERC and NEPA requirements
- Ability to manage multiple permits across large-scale projects with aggressive deadlines
- Skilled in developing permitting timelines and integrating them into overall project schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for agency coordination and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external consultants effectively
- Commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving permitting challenges
- Credentials of regular and reliable attendance
