Responsibilities
- Schedule and manage architectural programs and design team activities
- Provide quality assurance to all phases of the Design Documents
- Lead and share knowledge, experience, and skill sets with others
- Manage budgets, client relationships, and oversee all design teams
- Assure the high quality, coordination, and completeness of drawings issued for construction
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff
- Visit communities for new plan walks
- Redline Plan Updates
- Coordinate Master Submittals
- Product Lot Fit Setup
Requirements
- Bachelor of Architecture or a related degree
- General knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in an architectural office
- Strategic thinking to address issues and new concepts in design, production of documents, and development of detailing
- Exceptional communication skills -- both written and verbal
- Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and time management skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel is required
- Proficient in CAD, Bluebeam Revu, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Valid Driver's License is required
Qualifications
Experience, Skills, Knowledge:
- Experience overseeing an architectural department planning and designing diverse projects
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in an architectural office
- Strategic thinking to address issues and new concepts in design, production of documents, and development of detailing
