ConMet is seeking a highly technical, driven and customer-focused National Service Manager to support ConMet products throughout their sales and service life cycle. This home-based, individual-contributor position focuses on commercial vehicle customers across the United States. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical resource for ConMet’s fleet, aftermarket, OEM/OES, and dealer customers. You will provide product installation, training and diagnosis, maintenance, warranty, and post-sales support while working closely with ConMet’s sales, engineering, marketing and service teams. You will also become a subject matter expert on ConMet products and related vehicle systems. The ideal candidate has strong technical and presentation skills, excels at relationship building and conflict resolution, and is comfortable working independently in a field-based role. Extensive air and vehicle travel is required, sometimes on short notice, including up to 70% overnight travel and occasional weekends. Key Duties Deliver in-person and virtual training on the installation, maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of ConMet products and related systems. Support customer service needs, including field installations, product testing, failed-product analysis, investigations, and supporting warranty activities. Build strong relationships with customers, particularly service and warranty personnel, while representing the ConMet Service Group in the field. Coordinate and prioritize service calls, installations, and regional customer needs to ensure timely, effective support and resolution. Communicate product issues, training needs, customer feedback, and development opportunities to internal engineering, sales, marketing and service teams. Resolve customer concerns professionally and effectively, with a focus on long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty. Develop training programs, skills testing, and educational resources for product installation, service, and maintenance. Represent ConMet at industry associations, fleet-maintenance events, technical schools, skills competitions, and other regional or national events. Maintain awareness of ConMet products, industry trends, competitors, and vehicle maintenance practices. Qualifications Candidates must meet one of the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or related field preferred, plus 5+ years of experience in service, technical sales, or a related field; Master’s degree in engineering, a technical discipline, or related field preferred, plus 3+ years of relevant experience; or High school diploma or equivalent plus 10+ years of relevant service, technical sales, or related experience. Compensation & Benefits New hires generally start at between $100,000 - $136,000. The full salary range for the position, across all geographies, is $100,000 - $172,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for existing employees who demonstrate strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience. Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30. Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year. ConMet offers an extremely strong retirement package: ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year. 401k - The Company provides a 401(k) Plan with a 4% employer contribution match. Ten paid holidays per year.
