National Sales Representative
About the role
Vaco is working with a company looking to add a national sales representative to their team! We are seeking a driven and results-oriented National Sales Representative to expand our customer base and drive revenue growth across the United States. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and selling manufacturing products and solutions to distributors, OEMs, industrial customers, and end users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy to grow revenue and market share.
- Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, trade shows, and industry events.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including purchasing managers, operations leaders, engineers, and executives.
- Present technical products and manufacturing solutions to customers, demonstrating value and return on investment.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed revenue goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, customer service, and logistics teams to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and activity reports using CRM systems.
- Attend national trade shows, customer visits, and industry conferences as needed.
Qualifications
- Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of outside sales experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales goals.
- Experience selling manufactured products, industrial equipment, components, or engineered solutions.
- Strong business development and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing large, multi-state accounts and national territories.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience and training; licensure and certification requirements; office location and other geographic considerations; and other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or participation in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's retirement plan (or similar retirement benefits).
