About the role
As a National Nurse Resident, you’ll step into a hands-on, supportive experience designed to help you grow and build confidence from day one. You’ll collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care that sees each patient as an individual. You’ll administer treatments, track vitals, educate patients and families, and play a key role in making sure people feel seen, heard, and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Utilize current evidence-based practice knowledge, the nursing process, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide holistic care to individuals across the lifespan and care continuum.
- Collaborate and communicate with the interprofessional team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Develop accountability for own practice, delegated care, and the coordination of care delivery.
- Behave in a manner that supports colleagues and maintains respect, trust, and dignity.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge in nursing practice and assume responsibility for professional development.
- Take ownership: demonstrate a basic understanding of the current situation or issue; ability to take full personal responsibility for assignments, activities, decisions, and results.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing
- 0–12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience, upon hire
- Registered Nurse license in Nebraska, upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – CPR, upon hire
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred, upon hire
