Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary procurement contact for assigned business units, providing guidance on purchasing activities, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors while coordinating pricing updates, order modifications, invoice resolution, and contract-related activities.
- Conduct vendor evaluations to assess supplier capabilities, financial stability, and overall performance in support of organizational procurement objectives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, internal controls, contractual obligations, and ethical sourcing standards across all purchasing activities.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend sourcing strategies that balance value, quality, service, and operational risk.
- Provide procurement expertise and support to stakeholders regarding national, regional, and local contracts while monitoring industry trends and emerging procurement practices.
- Conduct onsite supplier or stakeholder visits when required to support procurement initiatives and strengthen business relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is considered an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, finance, project management, or administrative support within a complex organization; 3+ years preferred.
- Demonstrated experience supporting procurement processes, vendor management, sourcing activities, or purchasing operations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service mindset and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for onsite visits when necessary.
