National Pharmacy Analyst
About the role
The EB National Pharmacy Analyst supports USI’s Employee Benefits team by managing pharmacy benefit programs for employer clients. In this role, you will be responsible for sending, negotiating, evaluating, and presenting PBM Requests for Proposal (RFPs), as well as analyzing pharmacy data to identify cost-containment opportunities. Your work will directly impact our clients' ability to manage pharmacy benefits efficiently and cost-effectively.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and distribute PBM RFPs; evaluate proposals for financial competitiveness and alignment with client objectives.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, and contractual terms with PBM vendors.
- Develop clear, data-driven summaries and presentations to support client decision-making.
- Analyze pharmacy claims to identify trends, utilization patterns, and savings opportunities.
- Create detailed reports and dashboards for internal teams and clients.
- Collaborate with consultants and account managers to deliver recommendations and support client discussions on PBM pricing, rebate structures, and cost-containment strategies.
- Maintain awareness of PBM market trends, specialty drug management, and regulatory changes; provide insights on emerging strategies and vendor capabilities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Experience in pharmacy benefits management, PBM contracting, or health plan analytics.
- Familiarity with PBM pricing models, formulary management, and specialty drug strategies.
- Experience with RFP processes and vendor negotiations.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel and data modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
