National Manager, Product
About the role
TFS is seeking a National Manager of Product Management to lead a product domain and the team that delivers it. This role requires a proven track record of delivering customer-facing digital products, strong leadership experience, and a deep understanding of modern product management practices.
Responsibilities
- Own a product domain end-to-end — set the vision and strategy in partnership with the business, and be accountable for whether the product drives real customer value
- Build and lead a team of product managers — hire, coach, and hold a high bar on product craft, customer focus, and decision quality
- Raise the bar on product management practices — set the standard for discovery, working-backwards documents, prioritization, and delivery across the team, and advance the use of AI as a critical productivity tool in how the team discovers, analyzes, writes, and ships
- Keep the team close to customers — ensure PMs are running usability tests and discovery interviews, and that what they learn changes the product
- Make the domain-level prioritization calls — where to invest, what to defer, what to kill — based on data, customer impact, and business value, not stakeholder volume
- Partner with engineering and design leadership — you and your team bring the “what” and “why”; they bring the “how” — and you align at the leadership level on roadmap, capacity, and architecture intent
- Own the metrics — define the KPIs that matter for the domain, build the dashboards, and use them to demonstrate business value and ROI to leadership
- Resolve dependencies and risks — anticipate what could block delivery across business, engineering, platform, and partner teams, and clear it before it does
- Keep the product coherent across domains — look beyond your own area to spot inconsistencies and dependencies between domains, and drive their resolution in service of one connected product
- Go-to-market direction — the launch strategy, positioning, and rollout approach, set with the business and executed by the team
- Key Relationships — Internal Product managers, Engineering and design leadership, Technical Program Managers, Executive leadership (CIO, CPO, business GVPs), Business partners, External Customers and end users, Partners and vendors, Sponsors and regulatory bodies
Requirements
- 10–15 years in product management, technology, or product leadership, with a proven track record of delivering customer-facing digital products that customers actually use — not just features that got deployed
- 7+ years of product management experience focused on consumer-facing and go-to-market products
- Experience leading and growing product teams — you’ve hired PMs, coached them, and raised the bar on a team’s product craft
- A point of view on modern product management — discovery, working-backwards documents (PR/FAQs), incremental delivery, and instrumentation — and the ability to install it as a team standard
- Strong customer instinct — you’ve run or led customer research and used the findings to change product direction
- Excellent analytical skills — you lead with data to drive decisions and prioritize at the domain level
- Exceptional communication — you influence and align diverse stakeholders and articulate technical and business concepts to audiences from engineers to executives
- Startup mindset with enterprise polish — comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving, and able to bring critical stakeholders along with patience and confident leadership
- Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, modern software practices, cloud-native architecture, and Agile, with experience in cross-functional, fast-paced environments
- Familiarity with product management and analytics tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or an MBA
- Experience with AI/ML-powered product features (search, recommendations, personalization)
- Experience building products with regulatory or compliance considerations
- Experience building or scaling horizontal platforms or cloud-native applications
Skills
- Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs)
