National Major Account Manager (Data Centers)

About the role
The National Account Manager builds long-term, high-level relationships with Shermco’s most vital clients in the data center segment. You will act as the primary point of contact and strategic advisor, responsible for driving revenue growth, identifying up-sell opportunities, ensuring high satisfaction, and negotiating contracts to maximize client retention and value. We seek candidates with experience working directly with hyperscaler or colocation data centers (e.g., Google, Meta, Oracle, Microsoft, CyrusOne, Digital Realty, Compass, Aligned Data Centers, QTS, Powerhouse). This role requires 50% U.S. travel.
Responsibilities
- Establish trust with key stakeholders to secure long-term partnerships.
- Understand client needs to propose solutions that ensure their success and expand account value.
- Serve as the key liaison between clients and internal teams (marketing, sales, support) to meet deadlines.
- Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and prepare regular reports on account progress.
- Act as the first point of escalation to resolve issues and maintain client satisfaction.
- Hold meetings with C-level executives both externally and internally.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a national account manager, key account manager, or regional account manager.
- Experience with colocation or hyperscaler data centers.
- Experience selling electrical or related engineering services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field (highly desired).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales data and tracking KPIs to inform strategies.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
USD $150,000.00 – USD $180,000.00 per year.
