National Maintenance Trainer

About the role

We are seeking an Electromechanic Trainer to join our dynamic team in a high-tech environment. The role involves building training capability for a key client by preparing and mentoring their trainers, ensuring they have the necessary technical expertise, instructional skills, and confidence to deliver high-quality electromechanical training. This position requires a strong electromechanics background, experience as a trainer, and the ability to perform all electromechanics tasks, including working at heights and in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver all types of onsite training related to electromechanical aspects
  • Provide and monitor on-the-job training
  • Perform evaluation of trainee learning retention
  • Complete and submit all documentation related to training completions
  • Support new employees
  • Perform weekly walkthroughs for verification of work methods
  • Participate in monthly trainer meetings
  • Help create and keep up-to-date training documents
  • Participate in the creation/maintenance/review of maintenance documents
  • Participate actively on improvement projects
  • Availability to travel up to 75% as required for training or support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an electromechanic
  • A post-secondary education diploma/certificate is highly preferred
  • Experience as a trainer is an asset

Skills/Experience Required

  • Practical, analytical, and technologically proficient
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and instructional skills
  • Ability to perform all electromechanics tasks
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), with PPE provided
  • Ability to work, days, evenings, nights, and weekends
