National Leaves Clinical Specialist, Joint Replacement - Southwest

About the Role

As a National Leaves Clinical Specialist, you will work directly with the Sales and Clinical team to support robotic and manual joint replacement procedures. You will manage scan and schedule activities in multiple territories across the country using RepSuite, covering employee leaves of absence and other business needs. The role reports to the Senior Manager, LEAP but collaborates closely with local Mako Manager, JR Sales Manager, and GM. When not deployed, you will assist and train with the local JR team, executing necessary clinical functions. Field assignments typically last 4–12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Mako robotic systems, their functionalities, and clinical applications.
• Maintain expert-level knowledge of manual joint replacement instrumentation and implants.
• Serve as a clinical resource to healthcare professionals, offering insights, training, and support.
• Deliver a comprehensive customer experience tailored to surgeons, nurses, and other clinical staff during deployments.
• Ensure healthcare teams are proficient in MAKO technology, understand clinical benefits, and have access to program resources.
• Act as a point of contact for clinical inquiries, troubleshooting, and technical support related to Mako and manual instrumentation and implants.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospital staff, internal teams, and potential new customers.
• Understand customer needs and concerns, advocating for them within Stryker.
• Ensure all clinical practices related to Mako robotics and manual joint replacement procedures comply with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
• Assist in maintaining product integrity and safety.

Requirements

• 4-year degree or equivalent required.
• MAKO certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (4+ years preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with MAKO robotic applications and joint replacement manual instruments and implants.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgery and robotic-assisted surgical technology and applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to train and empower others during deployments.
• Willingness to travel routinely, often on short notice, for extended periods (months at a time).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Pay

$85,500 – $142,500 USD annual
