National Leaves Clinical Specialist, Joint Replacement - Southwest

About the Role

As a National Leaves Clinical Specialist, you will work directly with the Sales and Clinical team to support robotic and manual joint replacement procedures. You will manage scan and schedule tasks within RepSuite across multiple territories nationwide, covering employee leaves of absence and other business needs. The role reports to the Senior Manager, LEAP, and collaborates with local Mako Managers, Junior Sales Managers, and General Managers. When not deployed, you will assist and train with the local Junior team, executing necessary clinical functions. Field assignments typically last 4–12 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge of Mako robotic systems, their functionalities, and clinical applications.
• Serve as a clinical resource for healthcare professionals, providing training, support, and insights on robotic and manual joint replacement procedures.
• Deliver tailored customer experiences for surgeons, nurses, and clinical staff during deployments, ensuring proficiency in Mako technology and access to program resources.
• Act as a point of contact for clinical inquiries, troubleshooting, and technical support related to Mako and manual instrumentation and implants.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, hospital staff, internal teams, and potential customers.
• Advocate for customer needs within Stryker and address their concerns.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality standards for Mako robotics and manual joint replacement procedures.
• Maintain product integrity and safety.

Requirements

• 4-year degree or equivalent required.
• MAKO certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience (4+ years preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience with MAKO robotic applications and manual joint replacement instruments and implants.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgery and robotic-assisted surgical technology.
• Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
• Ability to train and empower others during deployments.
• Willingness to travel routinely, often on short notice, for extended periods (months at a time).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions under pressure.

Pay

$85,500 - $142,500 USD annual.
